- Skin Elements and SuprCuvr is making big strides in the transport industry with a new partnership with Thomsons Coachlines
- Thomsons’ entire 45-bus fleet is disinfected with the plant-based, all-natural, chemical-free SuprCuvr hospital-grade disinfectant prior to each trip
- Acknowledging the health and safety of customers and staff as its number-one priority, SuprCuvr provides Thomsons with an all-in-one solution
- SuprCuvr saves Thomsons significant time and money disinfecting its fleet while providing the highest level of protection without the use of harmful chemicals
- Buses are disinfected and back-on-the-road in 10 minutes with SuprCuvr instead of chemical disinfecting, which takes buses out of service for 4 hours while the chemical odour dissipates
- Chemical disinfectants also degrade bus seat upholstery leading to costly re-fits while SuprCuvr does no damage to upholstery
- The mass transport sector represents a major potential growth market for Skin Elements and SuprCuvr
Skin Elements Limited has partnered with leading Australian bus company, Thompson Coachlines, to provide Skin Elements’ market leading SuprCuvr TGA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant across the entire Thompson’s bus fleet to keep passengers safe – the natural way.
After commencing a trial in March this year, Skin Elements has entered into an exciting partnership with Thomsons which sees each bus across its entire 45-bus fleet ‘fogged’ with Skin Elements’ plant-based, alcohol-free SuprCuvr disinfectant prior to each trip.
In addition, all Thomsons buses are equipped with a SuprCuvr pump-pack at the front of each bus for the personal use of customers as they embark and disembark the bus.
Acknowledging the health and safety of customers and staff as its number-one priority and the risk presented by COVID-19 and other harmful bacteria, Thomsons buses are disinfected prior to each trip. This was previously done with chemical disinfectants, which presented a number of problems.
Thomsons has discovered the all-natural, 99.99999% COVID-19 effective SuprCuvr as its all-in-one solution.
Chemically disinfecting put each bus off the road for 4 hours before they could be re-entered, costing the company time and money. Using SuprCuvr’s plant-based, non-toxic formula, buses are disinfected and back on the road in just 10 minutes. This can even be done during the automated cleaning process.
The unpleasant odour of chemical disinfectants also impacted passengers, requiring buses to be sprayed with eucalyptus oil prior to them being safe to be re-entered – adding another layer of time and cost.
Over time the chemical disinfectants have also degraded bus seat upholstery, leading to the need for a $40,000 re-fit. SuprCuvr, on the other hand, has shown to cause no damage to upholstery.
Commenting of the partnership, Skin Elements Executive Chairman Peter Malone said that he was delighted to welcome Thomsons Coachlines as SuprCuvr’s corporate client and to be able to work with them to provide SuprCuvr across its entire bus fleet.
“With COVID-19 restriction lifting and the community returning to their normal daily routines, both companies share the view that it remains vitally important that we all continue to thoroughly disinfect surfaces and keep our homes and workplaces clean,” said Mr Malone.
“SuprCuvr is a truly disruptive disinfectant product in that it is not only independently rated 99.99999% effective against COVID-19, but it is also alcohol-free, non-toxic and made from a plant-based formula, making it safe for use in all settings.
“The ability to deliver maximum protection in a natural product is a key difference-maker between SuprCuvr and typical alcohol-based disinfectants, and is what drew Thomsons to SupCuvr. There really is nothing else quite like SuprCuvr on the market.” The drivers have been particularly pleased with the use of SuprCuvr.
Major Growth Opportunity
The mass transport sector represents a major potential growth market for Skin Elements and SuprCuvr. Statistics show that were more than 97,000 registered buses in Australia in 20211, and more than 2,000 bus companies2.
Following the success of its partnership with Thomsons Coachlines, Skin Elements is now looking to expand its footprint in the bus sector and the transport industry more broadly.
Thomsons were attracted to Skin Elements’ ‘human friendly and planet friendly’ philosophy for all its products, in conjunction with the fact that SuprCuvr has the highest rating in protecting against COVID-19.
Skin Elements’ natural and organic philosophy is at the heart of all its products, and none more so than with SuprCuvr. The Perth-headquartered company has spent the past 17 years and more than $40 million developing organic and natural household products, including the SuprCuvr non-toxic disinfectant which is proven to effectively kill off COVID-19, and other germs.
SuprCuvr is currently stocked at more than 160 IGA stores in Western Australia, and the Company is focused on expanding its roll-out in large retail chains and in the corporate sector.

Skin Elements will capitalise on demand for products which are chemical free and environmentally-friendly with its SuprCuvr disinfectant found to be protective against Covid-19 and a range of pathogens.
Australian natural health care company Skin Elements Limited (ASX: SKN) is working to disrupt the global disinfectant market with its organic formula considered a game-changer.
With Covid-19 restrictions largely lifted worldwide but cases still high and the pandemic not yet over, executive chairman Peter Malone said demand for disinfectants to help curtail the spread of the virus remains high.
“Reminders about hand hygiene and social distancing are starting to fall as the world learns to live with Covid-19,” he said.
“However, it is still important to clean surfaces, high traffic areas, and sanitise your hands to protect against not only Covid-19 but other pathogens which can be unpredictable.
“Australia’s flu season for example is early and cases are at a high rate which is alarming health professionals.”
Skin Elements SuprCuvr a game-changer
Skin Elements has a natural hand sanitiser product and foamer, which are alcohol- and chemical-free under its Invisi Shield brand.
But the company’s organic disinfectant SuprCuvr is what is getting attention on a global scale.
The registration was crucial to SuprCuvr commercialisation for use in hospitals and aged-care homes, which are restricted to using only TGA registered disinfectants.
SuprCuvr is made from a 100% plant-based formula with independent laboratory tests confirming that the disinfectant has 99.99999% effectiveness against COVID 192.
Skin Elements’ research indicates that SuprCuvr is the first and only approved disinfectant globally with a 99.99999% efficacy against Covid-19.
It can also kill a range of other pathogenic bacteria including:
- E. Coli
- Staph, aureus
- Salmonella
- Proteus Vulgaris
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Significant market opportunity
Malone said the combination of high efficacy in a 100% plant-based formula is a significant market opportunity.
“This product is an absolute game-changer and there is nothing quite like it available,” he said.
“It’s been well documented from market research that people want to use products that are good for them, their families and the planet and are chemical-free.
“It’s why we have dedicated so many resources to developing our unique formulation.”
The company is now working on distribution deals to further sales of SuprCuvr in international markets.
It has also attracted the attention of various industries beyond healthcare, including manufacturing, and sees childcare, food production and handling as profitable markets.
“We certainly see strong demand and opportunities moving forward for the product and will work to ensure we make the most of these for our shareholders,” Malone said.
Skin Elements growth in its organic skin care and cosmetics products, along with its disinfectant and sanitisers for Covid-19 are expected to grow faster than the market is pricing in, according to Pitt Street Research.
Pitt Street Research has released a report which said the stock price of Australian natural healthcare company Skin Elements Limited (ASX: SKN) is undervalued considering its unique positioning and projected growth in target markets.
SKN’s goal with natural antimicrobials has been to create organic products that surpass their chemical alternatives.
Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Perth, SKN is focused on developing natural organic products that perform better and last longer than their chemical counterparts.
The company has four main product lines. It sells all natural sunscreen products under the Soléo Organics brand, therapeutic papaya skin treatment products under the PapayaActivs brand and cosmetic skin care products under the Elizabeth Jane brand.
SKN recently developed plant-based hospital-grade disinfectant under the InvisiShield SuprCuvr brand, which has been found to be effective against Covid-19 and included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG).

Undervalued – at least 21 cents base price and 40 cents optimistically
Pitt Street believes SKN is undervalued at its current market value of 2.8 cents, which has felt the brunt of bearish sentiment sell-downs among growth stocks during global market volatility in 2022.
“We value the company at 21 cents per share base case and 40 cents per share optimistic case using the DCF approach with reasonable assumptions on growth of its existing skin care product lines and the recently launched InvisiShield product range,” the report stated.
Growing market
SKN is operating in rapidly growing markets. Consumers are increasingly becoming health conscious and prefer natural alternatives to chemical-based products.
Organic and natural products are seen to be the key drivers for the cosmetics market in coming years.
Pitt Street research reported the global natural and organic cosmetics and personal care market is expected to grow from ~US$38bn in 2020 to ~US$55bn in 2027.

Point of difference
All SKN’s products are based on naturopathic principles and use only organic and natural ingredients.
From non-whitening (micronised) zinc to botanically fortifying extracts with anti-oxidants, SKN has spent more than 15 years and $35m developing its formula and products.
SKN’s Solèo Organics and PapayaActivs products have bagged FDA, TGA and other international approvals.
The company has also regularly collaborated with other natural product companies to enhance its organic product lines.
In 2017, SKN acquired McArthur Skincare and in 2018, it entered a Memorandum of Understanding with Affinity Energy and Health Ltd aimed at developing a new range of algae and cannabidiol (CBD) based skincare products.
SKN’s products have a presence in the major markets of the Americas, Europe and Asia. The company is present across 16 countries worldwide.
Pitt Street believes SKN is well-funded to continue to support its R&D and mass market its products, having raised over $24m in equity funding during 2021.
With SuprCuvr receiving TGA approval and SKN now funded for further growth, management plans to penetrate further into international markets.
Capitalising on sanitiser and disinfectant market
In 2020, SKN’s management decided to pivot its strategy and make a foray into the market for sanitisers and disinfectants, following the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
SKN, using its expertise in advanced organic anti-microbial formulations, developed a range of natural and alcohol-free hand sanitisers.
It launched the InvisiShield Natural hand sanitiser in April 2020, which proved to be 99.99% effective against coronavirus.
The sanitisers are made from organic plant extracts including lemongrass, sage, and thyme combined with natural anti-microbial compounds. The company later developed SuprCuvr.
The global market for antiseptics and disinfectants was valued at US$24bn in 2020, and the market is predicted to grow at 18% CAGR between 2021 and 2028.
Pitt Street said besides Covid-19, occurrence of diseases such as cholera, typhoid, Hepatitis A and dengue, due to a lack of cleanliness, is expected to support demand for sanitisers and disinfectants.
Global antiseptics and disinfectants market size (US$bn)

The equity analyst firm said SKN is well-placed to gain from the fast-growing sanitiser and disinfectant market. SuprCuvr is the first and only approved disinfectant globally that can bring about 7 log reduction (99.99999%) in Covid-19 coronavirus on surfaces.
TGA registration of SuprCuvr has opened new doors for the company, since settings such as hospitals and aged care facilities are obliged to use only TGA-registered disinfectants in their cleaning protocols.
Having signed a distribution agreement with medical distributor Pacific Healthcare, Pitt Street expects many commercial sales agreements, not only in healthcare but in government, hotels, offices, airports, public transport hubs, and even private homes.
Strong leadership team
Pitt Street also highlighted the company’s highly experienced leadership as being an asset to the company, with board members having strong past records.
Executive chairman and CEO Peter Malone has more than 30 years’ experience in global financial markets.
He has raised more than $150m for innovative technology development programs in the past.
Must capitalise on SuprCuvr
Pitt Street said in its valuation of Skin Elements, it considered the revenue growth of SKN’s existing skin care product lines and recently launched SuprCurv range.
In its forecasts, Pitt Street assumed a greater contribution and assumed a steady increase in commercial-scale contracts, and average value of such contracts, for SuprCuvr out to 2031.
“At that time, we model revenues for the entire InvisiShield SuprCuvr product range at between A$180m and A$300m,” the report said.
However, it said the company will need to execute well to make the most of SuprCuvr.
“To state the obvious, Skin Elements is not S.C. Johnson, Reckitt Benckiser, Procter & Gamble, 3M, or Clorox, to name a few leading players in the disinfection space,” the report said.
“We argue that the lion’s share of the market will stay with companies like these. However, there is plenty of room for emerging players cognisant of the new needs of the market, like Skin Elements.”

Skin Elements’ distribution deal with Pacific Health Care is off to a massive start with strong sales and stronger demand for its TGA-backed Covid-19 disinfectant.
Australian natural health care company Skin Elements Limited (ASX: SKN) has delivered 120,000 litres of its lead disinfectant product SuprCuvr, found to be effective against COVID-19, in its first major sales order with Pacific Health Care.
Skin Elements executed a binding Agreement with medical distributor Pacific Health for the exclusive distribution of TGA registered SuprCuvr in Australia and New Zealand in January.
Skin Elements has delivered 120,200 litres of SuprCuvr in 86,040 units of various sizes, invoicing more than $1,14 million in sales for the period since the agreement was signed up to March 11.
Via the Pacific Health Agreement, SuprCuvr is now stocked by 168 IGA and 15 Good Grocer IGA supermarkets throughout Western Australia.
In addition to the retail sector, Pacific Health is supplying and marketing SuprCuvr to the mining, hospitality (including Airbnb), education, health care (hospitals and aged care), office and transport sectors.
The initial sales leaves Skin Elements and Pacific Health well placed to achieve the minimum sales volumes in the initial 12 months of its distribution agreement of 1.2 million litres of SuprCuvr.
Distribution partner with broad customer base
Pacific Health Care was established in 1987 and has a successful track record of selling and distributing a range of consumable medical products into the Australian medical industry.
The private company’s customers include state governments , hospitals, aged care facilities, general practitioners and dental clinics, surgical and medical sub-distributors, veterinary clinics, and at home patients.
Skin Elements’ Executive Chairman Mr Peter Malone said the company was delighted to report initial sales results from our SuprCuvr distribution agreement with Pacific Health Care.
“Pacific Health have shown themselves to be a great partner for Skin Elements and SuprCuvr to date,” Malone said.
“Their ability to understand the product and its market, and mobilise its sales team to deliver such positive sales results and in such a short period of time is testament to their expertise, and more importantly the quality of the SuprCuvr product.”
I like those odds: 99.99999% effective COVID-19 disinfectant
The registration was crucial to the commercialisation of SuprCuvr for use in hospitals and aged-care homes — places that are restricted to using only TGA registered disinfectants.

Skin Elements is an ASX-listed company focused on designing and formulating natural, organic, health and wellness products for the global market.
The company made headlines following the announcement of its commercialisation plan for its COVID-19 disinfectant spray and its successful application for TGA approval.
Originally published on Stock Head.
The approval from TGA was a major milestone for Skin Elements, and allows it to execute its commercialisation strategy.
In a major development, Skin Elements (ASX:SKN) has just secured a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) registration for its Invisi Shield SuprCuv as a hospital-grade disinfectant product.
The Invisi Shield SuprCuvr product has previously been confirmed by independent laboratory testing to have a 99.99999% effectiveness against COVID-19.
Skin Elements’ own research indicates the product is the first and only approved disinfectant globally with a 99.99999% efficacy against COVID-19.
With the TGA registration, Invisi Shield SuprCuvr will now be approved for use in hospitals and aged-care homes — places that are restricted to using only TGA registered disinfectants.
Separately, Skin Elements also says the product has been certified by the NASAA (National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia) Organic and Biodynamic Standard.
This certification is a recognition that reflects the company’s commitment to its natural and organic philosophy across its full skincare product range.
Today’s development is a major milestone in the product’s development timeline, which now paves the way for mass commercialisation.
“We see the potential to provide an efficacious, 100% plant-based disinfectant in large commercial settings as a major opportunity for Invisi Shield SuprCuvr and the company,” says Skin Element’s Executive Chairman, Peter Malone.
“With TGA registration now in place, we plan to aggressively drive our sales and distribution plans for Invisi Shield SuprCuvr with the aim of delivering revenues to the company, and value for shareholders.”
Highly effective against COVID-19
Skin Elements explains that the 99.99999% efficacy rate was calculated as a Log 7 reduction, and represents a substantial difference from what is currently on the market.
In terms of infection control, log reduction conveys the level of effectiveness in reducing pathogens.
The greater the log reduction, the more effective the product is at killing bacteria and other pathogens that can cause infections.
In scientific terms, a Log 7 reduction is 10 times greater than Log 6 reduction (99.9999%), 100 times greater than Log 5 (99.999%), 1,000 times greater than Log 4 (99.99%) and 10,000 times greater than Log 3 (99.9%).
The product itself has been the result of more than 15 years research and development by the Skin Elements’ team in the area of plant-based ingredients and antimicrobials.
It is Australian made, and derived from 100% plant-based, proprietary formula that is biodegradable, vegan, non-corrosive, non- flammable, and is cruelty-free (not tested on animals).
According to Skin, the Invisi Shield SuprCuvr does not contain benzalkonium chloride, hydrogen peroxides, quaternary ammonium compounds, bleach/chlorine compounds or other typical chemical ingredients commonly found in disinfectant products.
Next step: commercialisation
With the TGA registration, Invisi Shield SuprCuvr can now be used in many settings, including hospitals and aged-care homes.
Other sectors that might also benefit from the product are hotels, offices, airports, public transport hubs, as well as home use.
The TGA registration also allows Skin Elements to make detailed and specific product and label claims on the product.
Importantly, it also paves the way for Skin Elements to commence its commercialisation and growth strategy.
A big part of the go-to market strategy involves pursuing commercial-scale sales and distribution opportunities with distributors and other potential sales partners.
In particular, Skin Elements is looking for partners who stipulate TGA registration as a pre-requisite in the disinfectant products they deal in.
Apart from Invisi Shield SuprCuvr, the company has also launched a range of other alcohol-free, all-natural sanitiser products in the market.
This includes products such as the Soléo Organics natural and organic sunscreen, PapayaActivs natural therapeutics skincare, and Elizabeth Jane Natural Cosmetics brand.
In April, Skin Elements closed a $20m equity facility deal that would see the company fully funded for the next three years as it embarks on the commercialisation strategy.
